DESCRIPTION:

But that would never be shown in an Al Gore slide show.Combining honesty with a biting sense of humor, An Inconvenient Book contains hundreds of these "why have I never heard that before?" types of facts that will leave readers wondering how political correctness, special interests, and outright stupidity have gotten us so far away from the common sense solutions this country was built on.. How many times have we heard that carbon dioxide is responsible for huge natural disasters that have killed millions of people? The truth is, it’s actually the other way around: as CO2 has increased, deaths from extreme weather have decreased. Now available in trade paperback, the #1 bestselling New York Times author Glenn Beck tackles some of our country’s biggest problems in this funny, outrageous, and entertaining book.Glenn Beck believes that the reason why some of our biggest problems never seem to get fixed is simple: the solutions just aren’t very convenient. And as the host of a nationally syndicated radio show and a prime-time television show on CNN Headline News, Glenn Beck doesn’t care much about convenience; he cares about common sense.Take the issue of poverty, for example. Over the last forty years, America’s poorest cities all had one simple thing in common, but politician

Political correctness is the biggest threat this nation faces today, he declares, as it makes us prey for Islamic fundamentalists, renders taboo the roots of our economic troubles (poor people are, in fact, lazy, he argues) and creates rampant distortion in the media. While often informative, as in his chapter on global warming, Beck is sometimes tedious, particularly when dealing with Islam and education (France is literally teetering on the edge, and our biggest ally, England, is about to be turned inside out as well). He's at his best when most absurd, and funniest when he's his own target (the father of four is little more than a flesh-and-bone jungle gym). All rights reserved. Beck goes paragraph for paragraph with global-warming alarmist Al Gore, merrily slaughtering the sacred cows of the environmentalist crowd. From Publishers Weekly In this appraisa

Glenn Beck is the host and star of his own primetime television show on CNN Headline News and a contributor to ABC’s Good Morning America. He is the third most-listened-to radio talk-show host in the country, after Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. His show is now syndicated across the United States to more than 280 affiliates and on XM Satellite Radio

Four Stars Kajetan J Nowacki This is a good one by Glenn Beck.before he started going off the deep end.. "Liberals Beware!" according to TerrarianLucario. This book is good for conservatives and fans of Glenn Beck, but this isn't all politics and border security. Glenn talks about, in addition to the oil crisis and exit polls, things like how Hollywood is hurting birth rates because of bad movies, as well as the perks of old age. However, it gets four stars for minor language. Also, this is not a good book for left-wings, unless you enjoy getting ripped on by Beck. However, Conservative Republicans should get a laugh or two out of this book. Kathryn D. Koch said Must be Required Reading by Politico's. This book should not only be required reading by our elected representatives -- it should be required UNDERSTANDING. If they don't understand it then go back to their research and gather more data. Their constituents deserve it.
