A fun look back at interior design, plus some good ideas Amazon Customer I actually got the idea of getting this book from an article on one of the Apartment Therapy blogs. They recommended either the 1960 or 1970 editions (can't remember now). I found really good prices for both and since I was in high school in the late 60s and college during the 70s (many, many years of graduate school), I got them.Looking at the books, those times were a lot more tasteful than I remember them being. I've gotten some good ideas for a bit of nostalgic interior design and am having a lot of fun looking at what those two decades looked l. Great 50's Era Decorating This is my favorite editionlots of wonderful 50's modern furniture and lay-outs but also Early American and traditional designs from that era, too. Great fun to look at and to readI love the little tv screens, dial telephones, and the "new" idea for a "family" room. I find the lay-outs and size of rooms and ideas far more relatable than current magazines and the popular H&G cable tv show. Beside the many color photo's, there are the famous cute and friendly informative illustrations that are missing from revamped and "updated" editions. The used cop. Fun book! Great ideas a lot of fun looking into the real way people decorated back then. Kind of remids me of Mad Men.
