Gorgeous, super-sized art book with bonus material! Original-series artwork with conceptual art and other works thrown in! This book was somewhere in-between an illustration-only volume like the Art of Satoshi Kon (Dark Horse Entert.) and a Ghibli Art Book, which is a nice mix. Very high quality print, as expected. Some background is given to each image, and the bonus concept art is nicely packaged last in the book so the reader/viewer can appreciate the art style development and artistic context. Also, this art book is HUGE! I had to move my shelf down a good few centimeters to fit it in with my 30~some other art books - some of which I thought were large to begin with. B. For him? FOR ME! hehehe Merlin's Beard I love this collection of art, and although I had initially bought it for my friend's birthday I might end up keeping it for myself, haha. Great artwork, there's a fair amount of blank space so you don't feel like everything is just crammed onto the pages.. "AMAZING !!!" according to Kelleigh Tommassello. awesome gift for any evangelion fan. period. more focused on characters, but has the Eva's too. for those that have only watched the series and have not read the manga series, this is all pictures illustrated by yoshiyuki sadamoto, the illustrator for the manga series. even so, for people whom have only watched the series, it's still an awesome book. me myself have only gotten to volume 6 in manga, but regardless, a great gift for a die hard evangelion fan. came In perfect condition. big art book. the book is HUGE. I love love love LOOVVVEEEEEEEE IT !
