DESCRIPTION:

"Don't bother!" according to Sally D. Bailey. Kind of went here, there, and everywhere. Didn't say anything about food addition or obsession that was new and offered no positive solutions or practical ways of changing society or individuals. In fact, it promoted poor eating habits instead of healthy ones and behavior that is not very helpful in terms of dealing with food. It's like she wrote this off the top of her head during commercial breaks on her TV show.. Worst book I ever read! I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. This book is not only awful, it is offensive. There is nothing new written in this book. It is a rehash of what everyone knows already mixed in with "junk" science. The author who freely admits to her own eating issues is quite condescending and judgmental. I found myself wanting to throw my Kindle against the wall several times while reading this book. I had to force myself to finish it because I just kept hoping that at some point it would improve. It didn't. Don't waste your money.. "Don't support her!" according to Susan Hammer. Feel like a chump for buying this book. Self-serving, wide margin, low content - only value is to make money for Mika. I'll check in on her in 15 years to see what she looks like. Perhaps her pride will have been tempered by then.

She believes the fearsome subjects of food, diet and body image are “radioactive” in America, and getting worse.  On Morning

--Carol Haggas . With personal and professional input from celebrities such as Jennifer Hudson and public officials such as Governor Chris Christie, whose weight-loss battles are headline-generating events, Brzezinski and Smith polls the worlds of medicine, media, entertainment, and business to analyze our nation’s obesity epidemic and offer advice about adopting healthier habits. Only when she candidly confronted a friend, coauthor Smith, who was morbidly obese, did Brzezinski come to realize that her famously stringent attitudes toward food and fitness were just as harmful as her friend’s more indulgent lifestyle. Few would suspect that her vehemence stems from a personal addiction to junk food and binge eating that has plagued her all her life and that her ironclad willpower actually borders on an unhealthy obsession to stay thin at any cost. From Booklist Svelte and fit, Brzezinski is the envy of millions of women wh
